John 12:35-36

Then Jesus told them,

“You are going to have the light just a little while longer.

Walk while you have the light,

before darkness overtakes.

Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.

Believe in the light while you have the light,

so that you may become children of light.”

When he had finished speaking, 

Jesus left and hid himself from them.

We waited so long for the promised Messiah and now He says He will only be here a little while longer.  How can that be?  We are once again in that time of waiting only this time the Messiah has come.  After returning to life He spent 40 days walking and talking with his disciples and those he loved.  Then He miraculously went up into the clouds right before his disciples very eyes.  He’s waiting in Heaven to return, to come to earth and set up His kingdom, but in the meantime we wait.  The amazing thing is that we don’t wait alone.  Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit, the Comforter to live in us during this time of waiting.  The light is in us.
